When Aimee Lou Wood made her Met Gala debut last night, it was also somewhat of a White Lotus cast reunion. The British actress stepped onto the blue carpet alongside her co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger, wearing a tuxedo dress by Priya Ahluwalia and fun floral socks. Elsewhere at the event, other season 3 stars like Walton Goggins, who played Wood’s on-screen love interest, and Lisa also came to party.
While there have been unverified rumors of drama between Wood and Goggins, she had kind words to share about her fellow actor on the Met red carpet. When asked if she would make a guest appearance while he’s hosting Saturday Night Live on May 10, Wood told Entertainment Tonight, “I couldn’t say, but also I’m not, I’m not doing that.”
She added, “I loved working with Walton. It was the best thing ever. He’s going to be incredible doing SNL. It’s the perfect thing for him to do. It’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.”
The White Lotus fans speculated that there was something going on between Wood and Goggins after some noticed that the actors weren’t following each other on Instagram, but the actors have not publicly addressed the gossip. In fact, Goggins vehemently refused to answer questions about it during a recent interview with The Times of London. When asked about Wood instead of the new film he’s promoting, The Uninvited, Goggins said, “There is no conversation to be had about that. Sharing politics on social media—it’s in a vacuum.” When journalist Ed Potton kept pressing with questions about Wood, Goggins replied, “What the fuck, Ed! Come on, buddy. Wow.” His publicist then chimed in to end the interview.
Outside of that uncomfortable conversation, Goggins has spoken highly of his co-star, including in a tribute he posted on Instagram following the season 3 finale. “Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget,” he wrote.
