Travis Kelce and his family didn’t host a Thanksgiving dinner this year. Instead, they quietly attended one that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, and her family threw for them. People revealed that the Kelces traveled to Nashville, where Swift played hostess to both her and her boyfriend’s kin.
“Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families,” a source told the outlet of the festivities. “It’s the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together.” Last year, it was reported that Swift and Kelce were planning to be together on Thanksgiving. However, the singer ultimately remained in South America due to her ongoing Eras Tour.
This year’s celebration included was more than just Swift, Kelce, and their parents. The source shared, “Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year. [Travis’s brother] Jason was there with his family and kids, too. It was very festive and special.”
The day after Thanksgiving, Swift joined Kelce’s family at his Kansas City Chiefs football game against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs won 19 to 17.
Swift has just one more week of Eras Tour shows before she is finished and can settle into her birthday and holiday celebrations. She will be playing her last three concerts in Vancouver from December 6 to 8. For more on how to get last-minute tickets, see here.
Ahead of Thanksgiving, Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, publicly played coy and revealed that the family wasn’t planning to host a dinner. On November 14, she told the Today show, “I think we’re just going to be at the football game. We’re doing that.” When asked if Swift would be attending their Thanksgiving celebration, she demurred and said, “I don’t think so. She’s kinda busy right now. She still has her tour to do.”
Last week, Swift touched on her feelings about her final Eras Tour performances. “Our next city will be the last one of The Eras Tour, and the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far,” she wrote on Instagram. “See you 🔜 , Vancouver. We can’t wait to give you all we’ve got for three more shows. 🥲”
Kelce will play his next game on Sunday, December 8, at Arrowhead Stadium. There’s a chance he might be able to attend Friday’s concert to support his girlfriend one last time. (NFL players cannot go out the night before games, so Kelce wouldn’t be able to attend Swift’s final shows on Saturday and Sunday.)
