Blackpink’s four members are gradually making their individual Met Gala debuts, but they have never attended the prestigious New York City fashion event together as a quartet. Tonight, three out of the four members attended: Rosé, Lisa, Jennie. Jisoo was the only one to miss it.

Jisoo had a good reason though, as the star just finished her upcoming Netflix K-drama series Boyfriend on Demand. Photos of her at the wrap party surfaced on social media on May 2.

Prior to this evening, both Lisa and Jisoo had never attended the Met Gala.

Rosé was the first to attend in 2021. She made a statement in a Saint Laurent minidress:

Two years later, Jennie made her debut in 2023, wearing a white Chanel minidress.

Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé recently attended Coachella in California. Jennie and Lisa performed at the festival this year as solo artists.

The four K-pop stars will reunite and embark on a world tour as a group starting this July.

Lisa spoke to ELLE for our September issue about the band’s upcoming comeback. “Of course we’re continuing, for sure,” Lisa said. “We’re so proud of Blackpink, and I love Blackpink. It is not just because of our fans, it’s for ourselves.” She added in Korean, “There was no doubt. This is our life.”

Rosé elaborated on the group’s decision in The Cut’s February 2025 cover story. “We just knew there was no reason for us to stop it, right?” she said. “As much as we all needed some time to go out and explore and be our own people, we still have business left to do. We’ve got to do some more damage.” She teased that “we will be coming out with new music soon.”

Jisoo touched on the group’s plans too, telling Billboard in February, “Last year, as each member focused on individual activities, we all grew a lot. Now, as we come together for this year, I feel like we’ll be able to return with an even bigger and more spectacular presence. Everyone’s excited about it, and we’ve been sharing ideas. We’ve already done a lot of preparations for this year.”

“Working solo has been an amazing experience,” she added. “But honestly, it can get a little lonely sometimes.”
