IN: Feel-Good Sparkles
“Maybe it's all the uncertainty and bad news out there, but this is just the antidote I'm looking for!” says Linda Fargo, fashion director at Bergdorf Goodman. “Gems everywhere from head to toe, sequins and glitter, lurex and lame—it all adds up to a twinkle in our eyes." Marina Larroude, fashion director of Barneys New York, agrees: “Don’t be shy, it’s time to really have fun with fashion through sparkly pieces.”

IN: TAILORING
“The return of tailoring is the single biggest trend right now,” says Lisa Aiken, retail fashion director at Net a Porter. “Whether you opt for a pant suit or simply pair a blazer back to a white tee and vintage denim, the look of suiting has become modern and cool rather than corporate. Look out for heritage tweeds and checks in double breasted shapes with strong shoulders.” Over at Revolve, the same rings true, but with a slight twist. “I love the combination of blazers with shorts or pants with a matching crop top.” says Lauren Yerkes, Vice President of Buying and Merchandising. “Lots of fun colors and prints coming our way!”

IN: WHITE ACCESSORIES
“White accessories have the power to instantly update every look this season," says Aiken. "While a white shoe or boot may not seem like the most practical choice, trust me, it will work very hard in your wardrobe. There are no rules here on how it should be worn; this is a styling trick that works with everything.”

IN: THE STRONG SHOULDER
"Revived by Denma Gvasalia at Vetements and Balenciaga, this trend quickly caught on in street style,” says Shannon Schafer, Nordstrom's senior fashion director. “A nod to the pumped-up drama of the ‘80s, shoulders are either rounded, padded, gathered, or dropped lower. The retro detail refreshes blazers, sweaters, tops, and outerwear and signals a return to power dressing and head-to-toe tailoring which is a refreshing turn of events!”

IN: Trench Coats
"While it sounds pretty basic to get a good trench coat for Spring this season the options are endless, especially from Celine which made some pretty great ones," says Larroude.

IN: POWER PASTELS
“Shades of lilac, periwinkle, and baby yellow should all be on your color radar,” advises Coco Chan, head of women’s ready to wear and accessories at stylebop.com. “These hues work best on clean lines and crisp shapes so the mood feels slightly unusual, but not overly ‘90s/early aughts. In terms of user appeal, it’s perhaps the most versatile new trend. Just invest in a focal piece like a blouse or slip dress and add to your daily rotation. Beautiful skirts at Missoni, sharp separates at Victoria Beckham, and head-to-toe suiting at Max Mara Versace are all great options to nail the look.”

OUT: FAUX BOHO
“The whole boho/hippie/Coachella thing had a prolonged run, but now it’s time for it to head into the sunset,” says Chan. "My rule of thumb: if it looks straight out of Woodstock, then leave it for your next costume party. If you’re a diehard free spirit, upgrade with the new arts and crafts trend: handcrafted yet clean, restrained, and sophisticated so it reads as decidedly grown-up.”

“Circle bags and straw bags are what’s hot for Spring," says Yerkes. "We have some fun new shapes and colors coming to the site.”
