Tonight, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their podcast debut on New Heights, where they shared big news about the singer’s forthcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl—and their relationship.

The couple didn’t announce engagement news on the show, though.

The teaser for New Heights hinted it wasn’t happening, as Swift was not wearing a ring on her left ring finger in the video, just a thick gold band on her middle finger.

On the podcast, they discussed commentary about their relationship.

“We don’t really [pay attention to the chatter about our relationship],” Swift said. “I don’t see a lot of things. I’m of the firm belief that like, you know, if you’re basing your kind of—if you’re getting your feedback from the internet or from comments and stuff, like, I just really think that like, anything you put, anything you feed your brain, it will internalize. Anything you feed the internet, it will kill. I’ve been in the music industry for 20 years. It’s pretty hard to hurt my feelings at this point.”

“She’s a pro,” Kelce said. “And it took me a little while to be a pro about it, I think. I think initially, and there’s still some wacko theories from the beginning that I was very like, ‘Oh no, how is she handling this? I don’t, the last thing I wanted to do is screw this up.’ So I’m like, in my mind, is her being so calm, cool, collected, and so just real and understanding about everything that’s going on really made me grow up real fast in that aspect of things.”

Swift’s quote comes after a source recently told Us Weekly that they are trying to keep their love life a little more private these days. Their appearance on New Heights, where they spoke mostly about how they met and avoided addressing their future plans, reflects this.

“They are making fewer public appearances together because [their relationship] brings too much unwanted attention, but there isn’t trouble in paradise,” a source said on June 4, 2025.

Engagement chatter would’ve also distracted from everything Swift has been sharing about her new musical project, which was the big news that came out of her New Heights appearance. The singer is famously strategic about what she shares with the public—and when. Milestone news of that sort is something she may prefer to keep to herself or reveal through her music or during a separate moment.

Her appearance on the show, however, does reflect how serious their relationship has become. Earlier today, a source told Entertainment Tonight she purposely waited to announce her album on Kelce’s show. “She wanted to save the news of her album for his podcast as a way of supporting Travis and his platform—just as he’s always championed her,” the source said.

“Taylor feels completely at ease with Travis,” the insider added. “They see each other as true partners in every sense. With Travis, Taylor can be her unfiltered self and never feels the need to put on a performance. She’s excited for fans to see what she has in store on New Heights.
